Health, Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator
Camden Group
Applications close 30/09/2026
Camden Group is looking for a part time Health, Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator to help strengthen health, safety and wellbeing across our farming operations. You’ll spend time on farm talking with people, identifying risks, improving systems, supporting managers, and helping us turn good intentions into consistent practice.
You’ll work across a group of progressive dairy farming businesses where health and safety is treated as part of running a quality operation, not as a compliance exercise.
This role would suit someone who enjoys variety, likes working with people, and gets satisfaction from seeing practical improvements take shape.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll help coordinate and improve our health, safety and wellbeing systems by:
- Visiting farms and identifying hazards and improvement opportunities
- Supporting risk assessments, audits and site reviews
- Investigating incidents and tracking corrective actions
- Maintaining health and safety records, reporting and documentation
- Coordinating emergency planning and safety initiatives
- Supporting managers with practical advice and coaching
- Preparing reports and insights for leadership teams
- Working with farm teams, contractors and external stakeholders
Some weeks you might be reviewing risk registers and reports. Other weeks you could be driving new initiatives to support our culture, conducting an incident review, or helping managers work through a safety challenge.
About you
You may already work in health and safety, agriculture, HR, training, compliance or operational leadership.
You’ll likely bring:
- Strong organisation and follow-through
- The confidence to have practical conversations with people at all levels
- Sound judgement and common sense
- An ability to balance compliance requirements with operational realities
- Good written communication and reporting skills
- Experience in farming, agriculture, rural services, health and safety, or a related field
Knowledge of New Zealand health and safety legislation is beneficial, but practical experience and the right mindset are equally important.
Why this role is different
- A mix of fieldwork and office-based responsibilities
- Exposure to governance, leadership and operational teams
- Opportunity to influence how health, safety and wellbeing is delivered across the business
- Professional development and training provided
- A role sized appropriately for someone looking for meaningful part-time work
This position is based at our offices in Dunsandel with travel across the Selwyn District.
